That day I saw sunset colors
That day I would have lost my mother
That day a flawed man hit us
And now throughout my life I will never trust
The intersection that made me see sunset colors

When I die I will see sunset colors
I will be welcomed by our Father
Heaven will be bright with golden brown hues
The sky will be the brightest blue
That day will be forever forgotten
My soul will be forever forgiven
So now I will forever be able to see sunset colors

This poem is about the car accident that my family was in. We were hit twice when a man ran a red light. I broke the window with my head which is when I experianced the sunset colors. The passenger seat was completly crushed and if my mom had been in her usual spot she would have been crushed to death. God was truly with us that day.
