The End

By
Misty
Hooded
Dark
Death
Takes from you
Takes your loved ones
Takes some happiness
Leaving you
Alone
Emotional
Vulnerable
Drained
Tears rolling down your face
To wonder where your love is
And are they alright
Is it scary?
Does it hurt?
What happens?
Worry
Fear of the unknown
The end of it all

But is it?

Light
Glorious light
Death leads you
To the eternal resting place
Frees you of pain and disease
Takes the weight off your shoulders
An end to a long day
That comes as a relief
Wiping the sweat off your brow
The marathon that just ended
A chance to rest your aching, cramping muscles
Eternally

So when the time comes
Will you take the light or dark?
Will it be good or bad?
Is the glass half empty
Or half full?
Enemy or friend?
Will it be the end
Or just the beginning?
