I'm sitting at my doorstep waiting for you to arrive;
I wait for weeks, I wait for months, just to live my life.
Our relationship, you and I, is what I strive
For. Babe, all I wanted to be is your future wife.

Cross your fingers, make a wish, take a deep breath and dive
One day, it will happen, and everything will be alright
Return to the surface, and remember why you thrive:
Pray, dance, don't stay tight, make sure to let in today's light.

I gave you wise words of wisdom, you pathetic fool.
And yet when you came back up, from my own love pool
Depression arose when you did. I'm only your fuel
To your tank of entertainment; Broke my only rule--

Yes you, you broke my rule, and that was to treat me right.
Because the "love of your life"s, was in such a great rife
I'm standing at my pool now, watching it with no sight,
My hopes and dreams are gone now, my arms cut from this knife

You are this exact knife, you said there was only five
It took me weeks, it took me months, for me to revive
The one thing I had to do, was to always recite:
Pray, dance, don't stay tight, make sure to let in today's light.
