Still a Kid

January 28, 2008
By Anonymous

Strolling through the streets
Of New York City
I see children
Playing in Central Park
Eating ice cream
Laughing and
Cry out with joy
And not noticing
The mass of people
With serious faces
And briefcases
Going to work
I want to skip over there
Go down the slide
And sway on the swings
Giggle and squeal
Until my stomach hurts
And not notice
The busy world
Around me,
But I’m not a kid anymore
