Who Do I Look To
I shouldn’t be able to count the times I’ve seen you
Five, Six, Eight times? Do you even care that I exist?
Who can I look up to now? I stand- without a clue
Is this fair? You’ve taught me so little, and all I do
Is follow you, but you’ve dropped me into the abyss
I shouldn’t be able to count the times I’ve seen you
Struggling to be me, I search desperately for who?
You stare as the pain hurts so bad that I start to twitch
Who do I look up to now? I stand- without a clue
This is how I feel, and its your time to know this truth
You stay hushed, unwilling to break me free from the midst
I shouldn’t be able to count the times I’ve seen you
Frustrated, knowing I don’t have the bond between two
You say you care? Then take me off your damn waiting list
Who can I look up to now? I stand- without a clue
Guess what? I still adore you, respect, and admire you
But I won’t admit it; I’ll just stand with a clenched fist
I shouldn’t be able to count the times I’ve seen you
Who do I look up to now? I stand- without a clue
