you wait and wait
The crowd showing no hate
The first pitch is thrown,
you swing late
“Strike One!”
Thinking like Superman with a cape
you step up to the plate once again.
The pitch is thrown
you let out with a grown.
You hit the ball
“Foul ball!”
You step up to the plate
for the last time.
The pitch is throw
letting out a drone
You hit the ball
*CRACK!*
They can’t catch it.
No one can match
the hit that
brought you home.
