When you are gloomy, When you are sad,
When you feel lonely, When you feel sad,
You look for someone who can make you laugh.
Someone to divide your sorrow in half.
A person who can come and make you smile.
A person who can make you glitter like the Nile.
The world gives that person the nam of a friend.
Someone you can trust, one whom you can depend.
A person who voluntarily helps in need.
Deserves to be called a friend, indeed.
