Drowning

Sinking down, deeper into darkness,
A warmth fills my hollow chest.
In my head, I feel a small lightness,
And finally, I close my eyes to rest.

A warmth fills my hollow chest
As my lungs are filled with fire.
And finally, I close my eyes to rest,
Only to meet an end so dire.

As my lungs are filled with fire,
The world around me fades away.
Only to meet an end so dire,
I disappear at the close of day.

The world around me fades away,
In my head, I feel a small lightness.
I disappear at the close of day,
Sinking down, deeper into darkness.
