Anthem of Rhyme

By
More by this author
I want to walk out into the rain
And tell myself that I'm to blame.
Everything is just so plain
that I could run to Maine,
And be alone like Mark Twain,
possibly finding where I am sane.
But like a crane,
I lower the chain,
Feeling completely lost and in vain,
trying to be normal and maintain
the right attitude so I can explain
all my hurt and disdain.
