I learned a pirouette.
Eight years old.
Spinning around like a jet

I did the movement.
Because I was bold,
I learned a pirouette.

“I can do this! I bet…”
Plié, Passé and hold.
Spinning around like a jet,

I cannot let
My momentum fold.
I learned a pirouette.

Look on my forehead- sweat!
Meaning I am working hard- behold!
Spinning around like a jet,

A smiling brunette,
Young and bold,
I learned a pirouette.
Spinning around like a jet.

Great poem.  I loved reading it and thinking about doing a pirouette, too.
