I Couldn't See

I couldn't see
I simply couldn't believe
And my pride wouldn't let me
I really can't be angry
I had been warned
But I just couldn't see
I'm glad to be free
I should have ended it sooner
But my pride wouldn't let me
I let my eyes lead me
I'm paying the price now
Because I really couldn't see
I couldn't see that you were this beast
I should've let go
But my pride wouldn't let me
So now I'm shocked; Appalled
And wondering why I even cared at all
But I simply couldn't' see
And my pride wouldn't' let me
