When You Think You Have It All You Figured Out
Someone's in my bed
I know it's not me
My lover's not here
So who could it be
The outline's define
Chilling to the bone
I flip off the covers
To see I'm alone
I'm stuck in a place
In my own head
I can't seem to get out
To see if I'm dead
I see a light
At the end of the trail
Yet I can't seem to find
The reason it failed
The footsteps echo closer
And
closer
And
closer
And all I know is broken
And
shattered
And
open
Give me an answer
When without a shadow of a doubt
When you think you have it all figured out
A strong hand
But can't grasp the truth
A smart mind
But can't conjure up proof
These little grains
That pass through this sieve
Are what is making it hard
For me to believe
I'm stuck in a place
In my own heart
Where there is no reason
But I'll play the part
Care free emotions
Get carried away
But maybe these are the answers
To get me through the day
The footsteps echo closer
And
closer
And
closer
And all I know is broken
And
shattered
And
open
Give me an answer
When without a shadow of a doubt
When you think you have it all figured out
