Favorite Quote:
"I do not want people to be agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them." -Jane Austen

It tore me out
And crinkled me up

It tossed me around
And threw me out

It marked it's scars
And left the wounds

And all that remained
Was a tear stained page

The author's comments:
This poem isn't about a heartbreak or divorce. It's not about death or politics. I wrote this piece when my parents started to put so much pressure on me to succeed in school, piano, and sports-pressure I couldn't handle. They set expectations that were too high to achieve. I felt like I was pulled every which way, and torn out of a notebook.
