Where are you?
There it is
and there are you,
you look at it,
and it looks at you.
You look at it with temptation,
You look at it with admiration.
There it is
and there are you,
it calls your name
and it calls you.
“Man, come over here
and play the game,
come over here,
the game of fate,
come over here,
the game of hate,
come over here,
the game to:
Desecrate,
to abominate,
to feed you
and starve you,
to pleasure you
and harm you,
to keep you
and drop you,
to make you mad
and make you sad,
to make you a man…
and to make you a god.”
There it is
and there are you,
like a fat boy
in a candy store,
like an alcoholic
near a liquor store,
like a junky
near a street cor’.
Just like,
A user
near his abuser.
There it is
and there are you.
And...
I know why that cage bird sings,
I know why he has eagle wings,
I know why he cannot leave
To flee away from that evil thing.
There it is
and there are you,
“Why can’t you
quit says you
know who?"
“Cause man,
one thing in life is hard to do,
and that’s,
leave a love that troubles you.”
There it is
and there are you.
Addictions hard
It’ll trouble you.
There it is,
Where are you?
