I am nothing,
Nothing but a fly
Just a fly, nothing more,
And nothing less.
A gentle fly,
A harmless fly.
But yet you strike,
Strike a harmless fly.
I’ve done nothing to hurt you,
Or bring forth pain,
Because I am a gentle fly.
Nothing more,
And nothing less.
For I am a summer fly,
Drifting in the wind.
