Tears tell your story,
The blood shows your pain,
The scars tell how long,
Your empty hands show your gain,
The sweat speaks of struggles,
Your struggles in vain,
At least you are here, unlike many you remain,
While others were slain, on your shirt their blood is stained,
Your heart is so hurt,
Your heart is so cold,
You might have worked,
But you weren’t diggin’ for gold,
You were forced,
Tears will soon fade,
But scars don’t just go away,
