The Prey and the Predator

By
A hunting cat,
Hidden in the tall, wet grass.
Ears perched up,
Whiskers tingling with sensation.

A noise of scurrying little feet,
The cat spots its prey,
A poor mouse unaware of a predator

The cat leaps and gets his prey with his teeth,
The mouse squeals and dies.
But during this the cat was unaware
Of the wolf in the bushes.

The cat shrinks…

shrinks…

shrinks…

two big teeth,
a pair of large ears,
And a chubby grey body.
A rodent being hunted down by its predator.
