Tick tock tick tock tick the time beast fed
In this time it’s me you forget
Your words echo in my head
Emotions gone, the world is dead
Took a chance, placed my bet
Tick tock tick tock tick the time beast fed
No mercy, cruelty instead
Vacant stares like we just met
Your words echo in my head
Alone face to face in this shed
The time will come before the sunset
Tick tock tick tock tick the time beast fed
Crimson, the color I bled
Torn apart, Russian roulette
Your words echo in my head
“I don’t love you.” Plainly said
Walks away with no regret
Tick tock tick tock tick the time beast fed
Your words echo in my head

Time is nonstop, life is always continuing...devouring moments we wish to remember or forget(like the breakup in the poem)...And in times where time seems to slow down we feed the time monster

I love the use of the "time beast" and that time feeds on our minutes, seconds, hours.

I imagined the slow agony of this disappointing moment in the narrator's life as if the time beast was dragging it out.The poem gave me a great visual.
