I’d be a journal

December 12, 2007

I’d be a journal
The one with the red leather bindings
No lock or key
Tell me secrets, tell me sorrow
I’ll listen, lend my silent voice
To give the comfort and ease the pain
To tell the story of a life and a journey
It’s my own story reflecting others’
To make a mark on the world with ink
Seeing myself through others
Makes me stronger, helps me cope
Yes, I’d be the journal on the highest shelf
Looking out into the lives of others and my own
From here, I like the view

This is amazing. I love journalism, and sometimes I find myself wondering if my own journals get tired of listening to my problems. Journalism definitely helps me through daily life, especially during hard times. Keep writing! Great job :)
