Antonyms of Associates
Hey you,
Stranded in your self created
Isolation chamber you once hated.
Screen-lit face and mind racing.
You won’t find happiness in that machine.
Those cheap laughs mean nothing,
So why do you continue to do,
The very thing that makes you
Toss and turn.
Your body ache and heart burn.
The severed ties and burned bridges,
Ask yourself why they never call,
As you proclaim them traitors, bitches.
Nothing at all,
Worthless,
The antonyms of associates.
Reflect on what was,
And what you figured broke apart,
While your turned back cursed their names,
They had your best intentions at heart.
