Maine

December 8, 2010

Surrounded by familiar faces known for years

My father’s face displays no fear.

With beer in one hand, girl in other

But not just any girl, my mother.

The camera snaps, the moment’s there

They won’t remember today; they don’t care.

Without a clue of what their life will be

Just summer in mind, not a thought of me.
