When you looked into my eyes,
It's you I despise.
"Fire! Fire!"
You're no liar.
It was burning me.
Your gaze, I mean.
I loathe you.
I love you.
Feelings blended,
Beginnings ended,
"Mommy! Mommy!"
Shouts my baby.
I can't hear her,
My heartbeat is thunder.
It isn't a show,
and she'll never know.
Who hit her?
Who hugged her?
I'm trying.
I'm dying.
She may fall.
We had it all.

This piece was inspired by Eminem. It's about parental abuse and how it hurts.
