Mom, I Love You the Rainbowest

Mom, I love you the reddest!
I love you the color of the sky
At the time of sunset
I love you the color of a jaguar's eyes
When it prowls through the forest
And the color of a blazing campfire
A wide open hug
The color of a stop sign
The bone of a child's love for a mother

Mom, I love you the orangest!
I love you the color of the rising sun
As it brightens our days
I love you the color of the goldfish
Swimming for life in the lively sea
A beautiful restroom pass at school
The pumpkin I once was for Halloween

Mom, I love you the yellowest!
I love you the color of the sun
As it peaks on last time at dawn
I love you the color of stars
As they twinkle for you at dusk
The color of a ruler as it remembers
The babies it used to measure
All grown up and moved out to college
A bun for those kids to be back in
Their mom's arms one last time

Mom, I love you the greenest!
I love you the color of a small little leaf
To remind you how much I have grown up
I love you the color of a frog
To remind you the trouble maker I still am
And of the turtle I once caught
The beautiful grass covered in morning dew
A tree representing the baby leaf's full growth
A place in your heart where I will always be even when I'm gone away

Mom, I love you the bluest!
I love you the color of water
As the fish swim through
I love you the color of the sky
During the calm morning
The color of a chirping blue jay
A beautiful Virginia Bluebell
The bond of a mother's love for a child

Mom, I love you the purplest!
I love you the color of a raven
As it soars in never ending sky
I love you the color of caringness
Which you showed me throughout life
And of your favorite color which I will always remember
A beautiful iris in the summer air
And Heaven, no matter what happens to me, a place I wish to join my entire family for eternity
