I try
To fly
But all
My dreams die

Except for a small glimmer of hope
Giving the rest of me
A chance
Small glance
To go on

A pawn in a greater being’s chess game
My life shall not stay the same
Someone will know my name
I will gain fame

I try
To fly
As high as the sky
But all my dreams die

And as I fall to the ground
My lips not uttering a sound
A small glimmer of hope
Not very tall
Rises right up
And breaks my fall
