When is it too much?

November 5, 2007
By Samantha Taylor, Mammoth Lakes, CA

You hurt me, over and over
I forgave you, over and over
I followed you, without fail
You let me down again, without fail
I cried, for hours on end
I vowed that the friendship would end, many times
You hurt me, over and over
I forgave you, over and over
You left me out, I didn't say a word
Had inside jokes, I was on the outside
You talked about them around me, I started hurting
I got home, dying inside
I talked to family, they said you were taking my pride
You hurt me, over and over
I forgave you, over and over
But this time, you've lost me as a friend
