Imagination MAG
Children on swing sets catch the eye
Of a teenage girl in sunglasses
She walks by and averts her sight
Watching the dandelions growing through
The cracks in the cement
Threatening to wrap around her feet
And take her down with them
She sprints
Admires the flowers and weeds
She smells coffee and lies in the grass
Cries some, then laughs and laughs
and laughs
Children-clad swing sets mock her laughter
Creak. Creak. Creak.
It starts to rain and children flee
The girl stares at the sun through the rain
And drops her sunglasses to the ground
They're crushed by a rainbow
She runs through the rain
Slips on wet grass
Laughs herself to sleep
