But Little Was Said
A little boy on a dark, stormy night
so weak from his long and horible fight
He had many fears but little was said
as he ran his palm across his bare head
His withered skin revealed brittle bones
The cold paper bracelet made his surroundings known
The vulnerable boy listened to the monitor beep
Tears from his eyes then started to seep
realizing he will leave his family and friends
knowing his life will soon come to an end
