Foreign Country

December 12, 2007
By Anonymous

My life is like being in a foreign country
Unable to cipher things out
Demur, frustration
A new society
It barriers
Propelling me insane
Strange faces - awkward
I long for a correspondent
I must be daring, bold, brave
Their eyes question why I'm here
Realization hasn't occurred
I barricade down that wall
Cultural shock vanished
Earth speaks
The hellos begin
Others assist and befriend
No longer shy and self-conscious
Past doesn't matter, nothing matters
I establish a place
Not afraid to live it
