I know of a kingdom

Down by the sea

I saw a poem

Etched in the rock

About the lovely Annabel Lee

I’ve never loved with a love more than love

No angels envied me

My young heart has yet

To endure a crush

I am NOT Annabel Lee

I wish I knew of a man

Who would daydream innocently

Of a whispered secret

A stolen kiss

His own secret Annabel Lee

I ache for more than a crush

I want someone to notice me

I want my soul mate

To gaze upon my face

I want to be his Annabel Lee

A simple girl, I am

The third child of three

Even in death

Her life outshines mine

The beautiful Annabel Lee

With a chill and a sigh, we both fade

Her to a poetic death

And me to travel to the sea

To hopefully find my ancestor’s tomb

The tomb of Annabel Lee

I've always loved this poem by Edgar Allen Poe, and so I related it to my own life and put it here. I also put it on a different website of which I don't remember the username or website name. I hope you enjoy it.
