The stillness of the church allows me to hear
The silent prayers and petitions of the people
The candles flickering
The angels singing and rejoicing
And the flutter of their wings

The stillness of the church lets me feel
God’s presence
Lets me feel the love around me
And lets me feel the strength of prayer
And forgiveness

The stillness of the church lets me see
the everlasting beauty
the golden candles
the wooden pews

The stillness of the church allows me to taste
Jesus’ body and blood so that we may be part of him

The stillness of the church gives us the opportunity
to live amongst God’s people in his Glorious Kingdom
