Looking Back From Friday
September 24, 2010
Looking back from Friday,
five days into the past,
I see the week remembered,
the times that came to pass.
All the things left unspoken,
the memories re-newed,
all the mysteries unbroken,
and the bells always on cue.
All the time it took,
seemed so short,
and passed,
a single glance,
but the days we lived,
are now all gone,
never to come back.

I like this poem very much. The rhymes are comfortably subtle, and it creates a sad/happy feeling in me. It demonstrates smoothly how fast moments pass by, and how we are left to dwell on them when they do...
