Endless Night

Life without you is like an endless night
I’m constantly waiting for my heart to take flight
But no matter the changes, my hopes, and my wishes
The sorrow I live in never ends; never finishes.

I pray, and I plead, and I beg you’ll come back
But every time I’m reminded of what I lack
And no matter how hard I sincerely try
Every night in bed the tears fall, and I cry.

I know I can only wait for so long
And to wait any longer would be terribly wrong
But I can’t seem to decide; I don’t know what to do
For now and forever it seems, I’m stuck on you.
