OUR GOODBYES

My life's journey is soon to end.
My days have fallen to a shallow bend.
I've searched for the people who make me smile.
Only to find, everyone does for a while.
The friends I have will stay the same. Even in the face of shame.
Close to me, close to my heart, our friendship shall never part.
They will be there to share love's everlasting life.
As we morn our depart an say our goodbyes.
We see each other as we were for one last time.
