Oh, faME

I wish I were a singer.
I wish I were a star!
Getting people on their feet,
Singing about how I got that far.

I wish I were a dancer.
The audience I’d enchant!
And everyone who watched me
would say “Wow, that girl can dance!”

I wish I were an author,
My characters would be like me!
And it would be so awesome I’d get
Awards for it on TV.

I wish I were an artist.
I’d spend the whole day painting!
My work would be on greeting cards,
And there’d be long lines waiting.

I wish I were an actress.
I’d rehearse for days and days!
And some New York director guy
Would ask me to star in his play.

I wish I owned a talk show.
I’d live in Hollywood!
I’d give out cars and yachts and stuff,
And advice that’s really good.

I wish I were a rock star.
We’d have four big spotlights!
The audience would stomp their feet,
And we’d play every night.

I wish I were a teacher.
My lessons won’t be boring!
I’ll keep my students on their toes,
And I’d keep then from snoring.

I wish I were an athlete!
I’d run, swim, kick, and pedal.
My team would all work really hard,
And we’d get the gold medal.

I wish I were a poet.
The best one of all time!
I’d write a whole entire book-
Oh, I wish I could rhyme!

This is one of my favorite poems of all time that you have written! I love the way everthing rhymes perfectly and the ending is just so perfect!
