I Hope

You turn your head
You shift you eyes
Hope lifts off the ground
And crashes down another time
Of course your eyes don’t search for mine
What was I thinking
I should expect disappointment by now
But I don’t
I hope

Very good. I love poems that describe a sort of misery but end with hope, it makes them very inspiring

I know the feeling well, my friend. You captured it wonderfully, and I praise you for it.
