The Life of...Me

By , taylorville, IL
Seen but unspoken i plead
For a family who loves me for me
Not for who i pretend to be

Knives always dirty, razors always bloody
I cut myself shaving, the knife slipped in the kitchen
No one understands how literal im being

My friends thing im happy
My family thinks im an angel
They would all have guessed right
if they hadnt assumed,
Assumed how i felt, or what i thought

I dont deserve my life, my family, or the friends ive been given
I know im right but they disagree

Seen but unspoken i plead
for a family who loves me for me
not for who i pretend to be
