Come sit with me up on this tree
We’ll be two birds, not 1, not 3.
Just us two,
Nothing to do but our heart’s desire.
Oh what it would be to be a bird with you.
No responsibilities, no worries,
No Monday morning tired.
We could fly all day in the sky, do so many things.
Freedom the only thing beneath our wings.
We can forget our troubles,
No one will find us up here in the air,
Only to return to land if we dare.
Oh what I would give to fly with you.
Be a bird with me,
please will you?
