Playing Me
He Plucked her heart
like strings on his base.
Played the notes so hard,
he made them break.
And she started to feel
it all was a waste,
that cheap love song
he promised he'd play.
life was just so much easier
to understand
when she would pretend.
Because Fantasy love is so much better than
reality.
If he never told her
she was pretty in the first place
She'll still have reasons
to keep a smile on her face.
Him and his stupid bass
and the notes he played
that made her strings break.
