Yesterday Was the Best Day of My Life

By
Yesterday was the best day of my life
And the fact that I can’t see don’t bother me
I’ll light a candle in the darkness of my mind
Just to see the pictures of my memories

And yesterday was the best day of my life
The feeling that I was invincible to anything
And though they tell me yesterday’s the last one I will see
Yesterday was the best day of my life

And I’ll never forget when I became the passenger
And let you drive me farther than I knew
And though we crashed before we even got there
I don’t regret the ride I took for you

And yeah, you drank a little more than you should
And yeah, I guess what people said was right
That taking chances can throw things out of my control
But that yesterday was the best day of my life

Yesterday was the best day of my life
And the fact that I can’t breathe don’t bother me
Because I know it’s you who stops my breathing
Makes me blind to reality
Takes me on a ride worth taking
And sets me down so peacefully
So at least I’ve had the best day of my life
