Softball
As I get up in the morning,
I get dressed in shorts and a T,
Open the door,
Get blinded by the bright sun in my eyes,
Grab my bike, and I’m off to practice.
While I’m pedaling my feet,
I look at my watch,
I’m late.
I pull up seeing everyone playing catch,
Minus me.
Coach glares,
“Hurry up dammit”,
He screams.
Time to get those dirty cleats on.
Swish, snap, swish, snap, OUCH !
I get hit,
My stupidity just kicked in,
I’m hurt.
