A Home Away from Home
Waking up to a fresh, green field
The sun glimmering off the dew on the outfield grass
The dirt smooth and professional
And then my domain
The blessed pitcher’s mound
Where all cares are lost, and business begins
It’s a funny feeling one could say
Being able to throw all cares and outside happenings to the back side of the mind
Setting all stress aside
Relaxation from a mental standpoint
After all, relaxation is what makes one feel at home
And I know when I walk on to that beautiful field
I’ve found another home
