Boating In Kalkaska County Michigan
I remember waking up in the morning and seeing fog blanketing the hill and then soon free into the lake.
I remember walking down the stairs to the lake that looked like glass because the water was so still.
I remember getting on the boat to go fishing and driving to the log jam.
I remember hooking fish one by one and throwing them back into the water and watching them swim until they disappear into the dark, cold, water.
I remember splashing the cold, clear, clean water on my face.
I Remember speeding across the lake hitting all the waves with my hair blowing in the wind as well as my dogs.
I remember breathing in the fresh, crisp air that had its own smell and taste.
I remember feeling at home.
