A smile half-hearted
And a glance into space

The walk of a zombie
And a pale-colored face

All the energy gone
And the life sucked away

While in her hand
The death letter lay

This is about an army wife, in case it wasn't clear. I guess this came to me because of the war units I'm studying and have studied at school.
