I Want You To Change

I want you to change,
I want you to smile,
I want to see you just for awhile.
I want you to love me for who I am,
And not who I'm not.
I want to hear your voice
when I awake in the morning.
I want you to be proud of who I am today.
But now I know you can't always have what you want.
But there's always hope.
Dad, I just want you to love me, for me!
