Drop It
I tell myself
This isn't happening
But the truth is
It's just beginning
The anguish black
Just settling in
No more
Is everything that has been
A soul
Exiting the horizon
Leaving behind
Everything that lies on
The bitter ground
We call home
As he walks past
Everything he once knew
Does he look back?
Or keep pushing through
I call his name
No reply
Now I'm afraid
Can he hear my cries?
I should have seen this coming
I should have stopped it
It's too late now
But i can't just drop it
