Breath and Life

By
When i look around this room all i see
are posters and pictures that pertain to me
all around the room i can hear kids whine
but now it is my time to shine
My inner works make life's blood flow
Much more than just ventricles you know
Push and pump and jump and race
Life flows through valves and atrium space
So have a care, dont tread on me
Im more than just a muscle you see
With life comes breath, a stir of air
The body's bellows residing there.
Within my chest without abate
these lungs of mine will respirate
So it's breath to pair with my life's blood
pumped by my heart an essential flood
