i walk down the road,
cutting in half,
evil. good.
the sky, half and half.
one side is blood red.
the other is angelic blue.
the thunder cracks viciously.
the echo roars on for miles and miles and miles.
i look toward the ground on the evil side.
the weak crawl on the dirt while the strong keep them there.
they scream out,
full of pain and anguish they have suffered at the hands of the utterly corrupted.
the corrupt laugh out loud,
the pain of their victims amuse them
temptation pulls me towards the darkness.......
but then,
my eyes snap to the good, trying to capture all of its worth.
the sun shines down
upon the faces.
the pure
the untainted
the blessed

each one person looks after
the other.

laughter all around.
love
warmth
family
togetherness

Smiles
bright and shining
actions
healthy and warm.

just happiness, all.
now i must choose.....

the evil side
grants
money
power
women
and no rules

OR

the good side

which grants

love

family

warmth

and

peace of mind

which should i choose?

what would you?

This poem was based on the idea that every person in this world must make a finalized decision about whether the want to walk down the path of rightiousness and valor or walk down the path of malevolence and corruption.

I'm your teacher, but I still wanted to post!  This was one of my favorites of yours in your portfolio!  Doesn't it feel good to be published?!

This is really good. It’s easy to relate to, and interesting to read. Keep writing, because this is really good. You should check out some of my stuff. I think you would like it.
