Dear summer,
I love the melody of toads and frogs as the sun creeps down,
I love the hazy pavement you make on a hot summer day,
I love taking walks in the warm rain and in the sun,
I loved when I was little we tattooed the driveway with a rainbow of chalk,
I love how you let me sleep in till ten and stay up till two,
I love just sitting in the green, fresh grass watching the clouds float by,
I love the smell of freshly cut grass and grills cooking mouth watering food,
I hate to see you go,
as a new school year has come,
I will see you next year after all the snow has gone.
