Angel in Disguise

Seeing your eyes, the bottomless blue,
My lips trembled, the butterflies flew.
My breaths were in slow motion and my heavy heart raced.
Frozen in my mind is your beautiful face.
A shiver forced through my body, and I closed my eyes to see.
I plugged my ears to listen, and held you tight to set you free.
The tress stopped swaying, the earth stood still.
It’s who I am and what I feel.
You disappeared through ice blue skies.
Off went my angel,
Just my angel in disguise.
