Alone in my room
My headphones on
Static fills my ears
I wait for it
The familiar tune
But it isn’t there
The static continues
Like bugs of annoyance
In my eardrum
I hear though
A sound unheard of
The sound of life, love
The sound consumes me
Taking my senses
And blocking my thoughts
And I drift away…
To the sound
Of your voice
